What did we do in this case?

For the realization of a large-scale indoor storage solution for Bowling & Karting Antwerpen, Mechanic International received one clear assignment: create a smart and scalable storage space with maximum efficiency on a minimal footprint.

Mechanic International proved once again that a container is much more than a simple storage box. It became a fully-fledged modular warehouse concept that grows together with the client’s needs.

Eight second-hand 40FT shipping containers were strategically stacked and integrated into an industrial warehouse. By focusing on space optimization, an impressive storage capacity was created within a compact footprint. A custom staircase structure with landing ensures safe and smooth access to the second level. In addition, a large terrace with sturdy railings was installed on the first floor to allow visitors to admire the karting drivers.

The choice of a major leisure destination in Antwerp for this solution underlines the technical and logistical added value delivered by Mechanic International. The end result: a budget-friendly, robust, organized, and future-proof storage hub that easily withstands intensive daily use.

Why choose second-hand 40FT shipping containers?

Connected and stacked 40FT shipping containers form a highly efficient solution for industrial applications. Thanks to their large volumes and structural strength, they quickly create a secure and flexible warehouse or archive without the need for permanent construction.

The use of second-hand shipping containers for this project also makes the solution especially sustainable. By giving existing 40FT containers a second life, the lifespan of the steel is significantly extended and the demand for new raw materials is reduced. This results in a lower ecological footprint without compromising on quality, safety, or functionality. In this way, practical storage capacity is combined with a responsible circular approach to construction and design.

Why choose Mechanic International?

At Mechanic International, we go beyond simple delivery. For this project, we transformed eight second-hand 40FT shipping containers fully adapted to the specific requirements of the client.

The containers were equipped with structural reinforcements and integrated lifting systems, making them perfectly suitable as storage space and terrace structures. Instead of a traditional container setup, we opted for a durable and efficient solution combined with sturdy staircases.

Every unit was finished with the highest precision and tailored to the operational and logistical needs of the client, robust, functional, and built for long-term performance.
